Hi ppl,
So managed to get the OBDII reader to clear a O2 sensor error in my car and it worked fine. As I got the OBDII reader I've bought a Lonelec 16-pin to 4-pin adaptor to use melcodiag.
The thing is melcodiag is not getting anything from the bike (Monster 821 dark MY15) it shows some values but with errors. COM is Ok at 38400 baud it connects at the right port, the OBDII blinks... but no data!
So the thing is that OBDII is a cheap chinese version of ELM 2.1 Bluetooth. By the read i've already made... It's not working with this reader right? So thinking to get a "oficial" ELM-327 at http://elm-327.eu, the ford\mazda one will it fit for this?
PS: After get the data, to get license, will melcodiag only work for one bike or will it work for 2 bikes I've?
Regards, Pratz

So any tips? Do I try to get a lower version of OBD reader (or an oficial ELM327 2.2?) or do you want more info ?
Best regards, Pratz

Hi again,
Able to get an official elm327 v2.2 pic, so here it goes:
"File generated On 10-10-2017 10:45:45" "Software version 1.0.5.0" "ELM version : ELM327 v2.2"
"Auto Detect Bike = " "User Bike = Monster 821 Dark 2015"
"CAN Bike = " "Main ecu is not detected" "BBS ecu is detected" "DashBoard ecu is not detected" "Ecu = ã“eUUUU" "Hardw = ©4$" "Softw = A9551443" "OilService = NO" "DesmoService = NO"
"PID 18 = 0000460000000003" "PID 80 = 80000000000000C8" "PID 100 = E141283F7B40D700" "PID 210 = 0000000000000000" "PID 300 = A10383106B2F0540" "Vin = ZDMÓcD" "DTC = CAN ERROR 0558010221280000 0558010221280000" "2C0830B4"
Does it seems good?
Regards, Pedro

Hi,
First of all thanks for your help, but that would be kind of hard because in the garage i don't have any network, tough I'll try to manage that and will send a PM if you don't mind.
By the information available in elm pic "manufacturer" v2.2 is retrocompatible with 2.1, 1.4b and 1.3, i think they added more commands or so.

Hi!
I want to buy a Ducati Monster 821 Black (2016). I'll do the "service reset" with MelcoDiag? What kind of hardware i'm supposed buy? You've posted a communication trouble with your hardware. I want to know what i have do buy to get the things done correctly (brand/model/version -- or eBay "worldwide shipping" weblink for easy shop), without errors (and no ECU damage to the motorcycle -- i'm newbie on that). It's possible to via Bluetooth (Windows PC for sure)?
The local Ducati (Brazil) set the service to this model (Monster 821 / 2015 or 2016) to oil service with 6.000km, not 12.000km, so the service alert come every 6.000km and i'm 400km far way to the closest "Autorized Ducati Service" (800km to go and back!), plus the "big money amount" to spend on that every 6.000km only to service the motorcycle ("Ducati $ervice", hotel, restaurant, gasoline etc).
@jpl250rs Can you help me with these questions? I searched and not found any related topic to this specific motorcycle model/year on forum.
Regards.
