Hi jpdiag

Firstly , I would like to thank for investing your time and passion into creating melcodiag. I just got my license and started exploring the tool.

I was doing active test on the Fan. The tool was able to enable the Fan test and so the fan started spinning but when I try toggle the same button, the working fan just would not stop. Tried several time on the same button just would not help. Disconnected melcodiag tool and ignition key switched to off, nothing helps the fan kept on spinning. Now I begin to worry as this will be draining the battery. Restarted tool again, got connected to ecu, I was thinking maybe grounding issue so decided to test othe actuator this time on the exhaust valve pos2 and back to pos1 again.test successful but at this time fan still running. Disconnected tool and ignition key off.

Started ignition key again, fan still running, now I started the engine, to Let battery charge.Engine started successfully but the fan kept running even in a new application startup. Obviously the engine oil temperature is not taken seriously by ecu to stop fan.Cut the ignition to kill engine....but fan kept running.

Then I decided to keep bike in off state for a longer time to try my luck on the ecu self shutdown procedure to cut relay connection.fan kept running even now, thank goodness the fan indeed stop once the ecu cuts the relay.

I'm just feed backing this experience let me know if you see the same and coul work on a fix

I know the fan switch on but there is no command to switch them off
They should turn off after a certain timeout that should be like 30sec or about

How long did you wait ?

So, obd mode$8 does not provide command to switch off fan,at least not available for my ecu/sw 0000207 version?
Do you mean after the tool has initiate fan test, 30 sec later it will be turn-off by the ecu?

If I rely on the ecu shutdown procedure, the fan stops in 1min 14sec of time elapse from the point in time when ignition key switched to off  position, just base on 1 observation..

TOPIC :Passive Tests

For Passive tests, i tried clicking on all Refresh check boxes (all 4),the bottom left of Melcodiag reports "polling data".
Traction control level data was retrieved but the rest no.
Is the Passive Tests still under construction or i have mis-apply this function?
thank you for looking into this too....
