Hi All,

Newbie here but been surfing for a few days whilst the cables were delivered to make sure I had some knowledge of how to connect.

However I'm unable to connect..

Any ideas.. Breakdown below..

2013 MTS1200 GT with Tuneboy. (Mitsubish ECU I believe)
Melcodiag 1.0.5.7
ELM 327 with Chip FT232RL USB. The log doesn't show ELM version.
Lonelec DDA cable
Windows 10 - Drivers set up ok Device manager checked and no errors. Com ports aligned from device manager and Melcodiag each time.
Com port 3 /4 & 5 tried.
Baud rate 9600. Others won't connect/support.
tried all 3 options of the bike.
Bike is powered up but not started (However is does turn off after about 30 seconds as it's not been started, Not sure once I get connection if it will stay powered on or not)

It just won't connect at all. ]

Get pop up error can't init elm!

Any help or tips I've missed please let me know.

you have no connection with the elm
only very old one use 9600bds
actual ones use 38400bds
you have a driver problem or you don't have an elm...

Checking the com port speed and speaking to one of the lads on another forum
The com port is defaulting itself to 9600.
Will try on Sunday by changing the baud rate and hopefully I’ll get it connected then.
Will updat eonc ei get chance to mess with it.

Looks like its the ELM version that I purchased...

In changed the default Com port speed to 38400 from 9600 and I now get ELM not compatible error now.

Could someone send me a link for the one that they purchased if possible ?

Sorted, Cheers for all your help on this.. Lonelec ELM worked a treat first time. I'm sending back the other one and they are ok with it.

Now to figure out what 502B status 68 & 502C Status 62 are next..

Is there a guide to what codes represent what faults anywhere ?
